You want content that establishes you as a thought leader in your field.

And attracts the patients and clients you can help the most with your area of expertise.

Plus, you’re looking for a medical copywriter to write long-form SEO blog posts that help you gain visibility on Google and provide well-researched, accurate health information that breaks down complex subjects.

Sound about right?

Well, I’ve got good news for you…medical copywriting is MY thing.

Hi. I’m Karla.

There’s nothing I find more rewarding than connecting people to the right doctor, healthcare provider, therapist, or wellness coach who can help improve their lives.

Especially those who often face systemic barriers to care, including women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, persons with disabilities, non-native English speakers, and other underrepresented groups.

But here’s the thing: The words you use to describe your practice are probably not the same words your potential patients and clients are searching for online when they’re trying to find you.

I’m here to bridge that gap, using SEO optimization to ensure an online connection happens and an empathy-first approach to inspire your audience to take action once they find you.

Because when people find the help they need, it can save lives. What’s more rewarding than that?

You’re a specialist with the expertise people need. Finding you shouldn’t be such a challenge.

I’m here to make it easier.

When you work with me you get:

✔️ Content strategy that sets your practice up for online success

✔️ Medical copywriting that transforms complex health subjects into understandable information

✔️ Search Engine Optimization that helps get your website to the top of search engine results

✔️ Formatting that makes your content easy to skim and share around the web

✔️ Fact checking with clear citation of sources so you look like a pro online

✔️ Editing so your work is polished and ready to publish

✔️ Royalty-free photography and illustrations to enhance your message (if needed)

Anchorage Massage Therapies Website Project

You’ve got less than 10 seconds to make a first impression when someone lands on your website.

They’ll immediately click away if your copy is confusing. But with the right information, a website visitor can become a lifelong patient.

For Anchorage Massage Therapies, I wrote 7 pages of SEO-optimized website copy that grew their site visits from 148 to more than 5,000+ per month. Read the full case study below.

Aethereal Coffee Website Project

Using an engaging and consistent brand voice that truly connects to your audience can help you stand out in a sea of options and form a connection with your readers.

For Aethereal Coffee, I wrote brand-new SEO-optimized website copy designed to rank high on Google AND set the stage for a dreamy, crave-worthy customer journey that provides a ton of value as it gently guides you toward the check-out page.

Northern Seitan Website Project

Did you know that how you format your text is just as important as what your copy says when it comes to SEO?

That’s why all of my deliverables come with formatting instructions, including H1, H2, alt-text, meta-descriptions, + page and URL titles.

I helped get Northern Seitan’s website to the first page of Google search results using website copywriting and an SEO strategy for both on-page and off-page SEO.

Case Study

Next up is a case study from Anchorage Massage Therapies in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a good example of what can happen when you don’t let your competition be the first in your local market to implement an SEO content marketing strategy.

The goal: Attract new clients and book more appointments.
The plan: We started with SEO-optimized website copy on all pages of the website, added an opt-in, a welcome email, and then regularly posted solution-driven blogs for the next six months.

1. Opt-In:

Adding an opt-in to Anchorage Massage Therapies website fosters a connection and grew their email list by 128 subscribers.

Screenshot of marketing for healthcare practice statistics. Jpg.

2. Welcome Email

The welcome email delivers the opt-in, introduces the practice, and begins forming a relationship based on value.

3. Weekly Blogs

Weekly medical copywriting blogs build SEO and authority. One of the SEO-optimized blogs I wrote outranks The Cleveland Clinic and Cedars Sinai Hospital on the same topic. This is the power of SEO.

Search results for the term “lymphatic drainage when sick.” Anchorage Massage Therapies’ blog comes in at #4 globally.

4. Weekly Emails

Weekly emails help mantain a meaningful connection and link to new blogs that inspire people to head back to the website and book an appointment. This screengrab shows an open rate of 67% (the average open rate is ~ 20%.)

Because Anchorage Massage Therapies invested in an SEO medical copywriting strategy, their website soared to the top of Google search results. In the graphic below, you can see it peaking at 21,043 visitors in February of 2024 before stabilizing. SEO sometimes surges and then recalibrates to the appropriate numbers for its market.

After stabilizing, the official results were in: Their website went from 138 visitors a month to averaging more than 5,000 visitors a month.

It’s an increase of more than 4900%.

Their medical massage practice became booked out with new clients, who became repeat clients. Anchorage Massage Therapies started requiring a credit card before booking, implemented a “no-show” policy, and hired more staff to meet demand.

Ultimately, SEO transformed their business. It also helped a lot of people find the right care.

Here’s when I entered the picture. ↴

A graph showing organic monthly website visitors for Anchorage Massage Therapies.

Anchorage Massage Therapies is now the Number 1 result on Google for more than 16 local SEO search terms. Plus, it’s within the top 10 Google results for more than 57 search terms.

Most people click on the top 10 organic search results when Googling something.

In other words, no matter what keywords you use to search for a massage in Anchorage, Alaska, you’re going to find Anchorage Massage Therapies’ website — and when you do, you begin an empathy-first customer journey that inspires you to book an appointment.

Whether you’re a doctor, a therapist, or a wellness coach, a medical copywriting strategy like this helps you and your clients. It’s a win-win that makes you feel good about doing business.
